Imagine a post, circulated all over social media. One Flyer announcing 4 events at your local church. All happening at the same time on the same night. In Room 1 there will be a discussion that will reveal everything about the two top candidates for the next presidential election. In Room 2, there will be a discussion on preparing for retirement and living a great life in retirement for those who are already retired. Everyone who attends will be registered to receive $10,000.00 a month for the rest of their life. In Room 3 there will be a discussion about finding the perfect mate. Last in Room 4 the Word of God will be taught. Which room would you go to? Be honest with yourself. I mean every Sunday you have a choice to go to Room 4, but do you go? Would you miss it just once so you could know the dirt on a politician, or a chance to be set financially during retirement? Would you miss out on the Word of God just once for a chance to get the perfect mate? How about this question if you were given the opportunity to host and teach one of these events which one would you choose? Be honest, which would you choose to talk about at your house? There will be a large crowd. Your house, will be full of people, which would you want to tell them about? Three of them have nothing to do with eternity and one has. Three will end and one won't. Yet every week a vast majority of people choose something that will cease to exist over someone who always has and always will. How often do you choose to speak about what will fade away instead of what will blossom out into eternity?

Scripture says, Mark 2:2 NASB95 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, not even near the door; and He was speaking the word to them.

Jesus chose the eternal to be His topic and the room was full. The house was full. The yard was full. People struggled to come near. Not all received, not all desired eternity. Some just wanted comfort here and now. However, Jesus was determined. I love that this text says, "He was speaking THE Word to them." Notice it doesn't say a word. It doesn't say some words. It doesn't say he was speaking words of political, financial, or words of companionship. It says He was speaking THE Word to them.

Can I just say that we (myself included) spend too much time speaking words and not enough time speaking THE WORD! We talk about everything under the sun and hardly mention THE SON who created the sun. Do you know why all the rooms would have more people than Room 4? It is because they, we, haven't spent enough time in THE WORD to realize it has all that they, we, need.

How would the world change if the few people who read this word, would spend the next day speaking THE WORD? I will tell you Jesus spoke THE WORD and their wasn't any room around Him.

Let's stop speaking words and let's start Sharing THE WORD. John 1:14 NASB95 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

There is glory for the Father when THE WORD is known in the world.

Love Bro. Scott
