Mind-blowing Praise.

Praising the Lord is a blessing from God!

Our text today is a verse from a Psalm of praise. The verse says, Psalms 147:1 NASB1995 Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.

As I read this Psalm I started to think of all the reasons we have to "Praise the Lord." The list is longer than our life. I started to think about all the blessings that we are undeserving of. Then I started to think about how God is deserving of our praise.

Even if He didn't bless us daily He is still deserving of our praise.

However, if He didn't bless us with the ability to praise Him, we wouldn't be able to. What I am saying is we are so awful in our sin that the fact we can, in any way, Praise the Lord is a blessing in and of itself!

Us Praising the Lord is a Blessing we are given by God!

When you Praise the Lord you are receiving a blessing!

Have you ever noticed that when you are Praising the Lord, your Spirit is automatically lifted up? You can be in the lowest of lows and depressed to the point of death, but when you start to praise the Lord, your Spirit starts to well up a joy inside of you that you weren't able to feel in your sadness. (Blessing to Praise, Blessing because of Praise)

So to say, "Even if He didn't bless us, He is still worthy of OUR praise," is true. However, it is impossible. We can only praise Him in His blessing of us.

God makes the impossible, possible.

For example, we are made in His image. That means we are Praising the Lord by just existing in His image, but we only exist in His image because He created us. We only exist in His image inside of His creation, which then again is Him blessing us.

Wow, He is an Amazing Lord!

It is good to sing Praises to our God!

It is pleasant to Praise the Lord!

It is becoming (beautiful) to Praise the Lord!

Do you want to be good, pleasant, and beautiful?

Then, in His blessings of praise, Praise the Lord and you will be blessed!

This is mind-blowing. All I can say is, Wow, just Wow!

Praising the Lord with a blown mind and a blessing.
