I have heard it said many times. I don't understand how people manage to get through each day without God. While I understand their thought. Which is how can they make it without God as their Lord and Savior? The truth is that no one makes it through a day without God. As they breathe that is God giving them breath. As they move that is God giving them strength. As they exist, that is God holding creation together. If God ever removed His presence from His creation, it would self-destruct. Even the absence of His response is referred to as Hell by David.
Psalm 28:1 NASB95 A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I call; My rock, do not be deaf to me, For if You are silent to me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.
Many people go through life avoiding acknowledging that Jesus is evident in all of creation. All it requires is looking with the measure of faith that is allowed to each and you will see the truth that God is everywhere. Yet because they refused to recognize this with faith they say He is not. The truth is, if God wasn't, then neither are we.
The greatest punishment of hell is not the fire but the realization that God is manifesting Himself through his absence.
David wanted God to be with Him in every single way and God was. David said if I don't know that you hear me it will be like hell to me.
You can deny God. You can turn your back on Him. You can proclaim that He isn't real, but if He ever stopped holding together His creation, Hell would be instant.
No matter how you say it, the truth is that no one exists apart from God.
He is the Rock foundation upon which creation is built.
Psalm 28:1 NASB95 A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I call; My rock, do not be deaf to me, For if You are silent to me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.
Because He is here and providing life you are not in hell. There will come a time when, if you haven't accepted Him in faith, you will understand what it is like without Him, as Hell will become your eternity. Accept Him now by faith as your Lord and Savior. He, in love, is being patient!
