Thank you to all our veterans! You had a job to do, a responsibility to keep, and you did not back down. Instead, you stood strong in the face of danger.
All Christians are given an opportunity to do the same. Veterans have stood strong with an M16, but we as Christians have a vastly more powerful instrument than that. We should stand strong in the power of God, the Creator of all things, with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Our mission, we should accept is stated by Paul in his letter to Titus. Titus 1:3 NASB95 but at the proper time manifested, even His word, in the proclamation with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior,
God has manifested His Word through its proclamation. That proclamation assignment has been given to the church. This is according to the commandment of God our Savior.
We extend our gratitude today to our veterans. Let's pray we will be told well done by our God because we have stood strong in our mission. He has entrusted to us the most valuable of messages. However, it is not a secret. It is instead meant to be proclaimed.
As we celebrate Veterans Day, I wonder if there will be a well-done day of celebration in heaven. Of course, for that to happen, we must have done well in our proclamation. Then again we will be so busy celebrating Jesus that I doubt we would want to be recognized. After all He fought the battle and won. All we have to do is tell people!
Love Bro. Scott
