Psalm 43:3 NASB95 O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places.

I love how everything with God makes such sense. He is light. He is truth. Without Him there is darkness. Without Him there is falseness.

Darkness is the absence of light. However, there are animals that "see" in the dark. No, actually, that is false. These animals that "see" in the dark gather tiny amounts of light particles that are amplified to allow them to see in ALMOST complete darkness. This is similar to how night vision works. Nothing can see in total darkness. In total darkness, life does not exist. In the deepest darkest caves in the ocean, there are light sources not visible by man. This light is at the photon level. Tiny bioluminescent organisms give off these photons that, while not visible to humans, can be seen by other organisms. There is also light that permeates through cracks in the earth in the depths of the ocean floor.

When these places are described as total darkness, it is speaking of the absence of the sun, and its light. However, the absence of the sun doesn't mean there is absence of The Son.

When scripture describes God as being Omnipresent, He truly is everywhere. Psalm 139:7-12 NASB95 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.

In this, we see the truth of scripture. The truth that is God. He is light, and darkness must flee from the light.

There is no place that He is not. He manifests Himself in different ways, but even in different ways, He is always light, showing the Way to the Father. (Jesus is always the way.)

Even when you can't see the light because your faith's eyes are too weak. He is still there lighting the Way. This is Truth. He is light. He is Truth. He will guide you to His dwelling places on His Holy Hill.

John 14:2-4 NASB95 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. “And you know the way where I am going.”

Follow the light, and when you can't see it, follow the truth. Because in truth the light is there!
