Isaiah 59:1-2 NASB95 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

I had a man recently tell me he no longer heard from God. As we talked I asked him if he was going to church. He responded no. I told him the very first thing I asked you revealed sin. We both knew there were other sins as well. These sins are why he wasn't hearing from God.

Our text reveals that there is nothing in God that disables Him from saving or hearing us.

He is perfect, all knowing, and all powerful. When we don't feel or hear God, it is because our iniquities have separated us from God. It is our sin that separates us from God, and it is His Righteousness, Grace, and faith provided to us that brings us to a place of feeling and hearing Him.

God never leaves us or forsakes us. Yet that doesn't mean that mankind doesn't turn from Him. The text says, your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

If God would have no part of His Son bearing our sins on the cross, then why would He choose to fellowship with us in our sin?

On the cross Jesus said Mark 15:34 NASB95 — At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” which is translated, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”

When we are struggling to hear or feel God. When we wonder if He is hearing us don't question if He is there. Instead, question what sins you are living in that are hiding His face from you so that He does not hear.

Repent of them and feel and hear from Him again.

Jesus was brought a woman caught in the act of sin. The hope was to trap Jesus and stone her. Neither happened. While Jesus acknowledged her sin by saying, he who is without sin cast the first stone. This shows it was truly a sin, but He also showed mercy in that she wasn't stoned. Lastly, he required repentance as He said to her, "Go. From now on sin no more.”

Stop living in sin. Sin no more, from now on. This means start now and continue in a life that strives to avoid sin.

There is nothing in God that hinders our relationship with Him. It is always the sin in us that causes the separation.

Repent and hear from God as He hears from you.

Are you feeling Him? Are you hearing Him? If not look at yourself.

He is still here!

Love Bro. Scott
