Hebrews 13:20-21 NASB95 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Moses had a speech problem.
Jeremiah was young and cried a lot.
Gideon was afraid.
Ruth was a widow in a foreign country.
Hosea's wife was unfaithful.
Josiah was only 8 years old when he became king.
The Samaritan woman at the well was shunned because of her sin.
Jacob was arrogant.
Elijah was afraid of a woman.
Samson was blind and had gotten a haircut.
Daniel had no food for the lion.
Jonah had no desire to go to Nineveh.
Peter had foot-in-mouth disease.
Paul had eyesight problems.
With God:
Moses spoke to Pharaoh, Kings, and the Lord. He led Israel to the Promised Land.
Jeremiah was a great prophet who revealed the length of the exile.
Gideon defeated an army of 135000 men with 300 men.
Ruth married and became the great-grandmother of King David.
Hosea revealed Israel's idolatry.
Josiah refurbished the temple and led the people back to God.
The Samaritan woman at the well brought the town of Sychar to Christ.
Jacob was the father of the twelve tribes of Israel.
Elijah was one of the greatest prophets and was taken to heaven without dying.
Samson killed more Philistines when he was blind with short hair than when he could see and had hair.
Daniel slept with the lions and came out the next morning.
Jonah led Nineveh to repent.
Peter preached at Pentecost.
Paul penned the majority of the New Testament.
David Ring was born with cerebral palsy. He was never supposed to be able to talk or walk. Yet he has preached to over a million people in more than 7,000 churches around the world. He has said. God took my greatest liability and made it my greatest asset.
With God you can overcome.

You might think you have an excuse not to serve the Lord. You have seen today, from Scripture and from a more recent example that with God you have no excuse.
You have been equipped in every good thing to do His will. He is working in us that which is pleasing in His sight. All of this is done through Jesus the Christ. He receives the Glory forever.

Jesus says in Him you have none.
Today let's serve Him through Him for Him to receive Glory.
Happy 250th birthday to our great nation. We have reached this point in Christ. Let's turn back to Him and hopefully be here when He returns.
