2 Corinthians 4:13 NASB95 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE,” we also believe, therefore we also speak,
All followers of Christ understand the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He takes up residence in us and gives us directions that, if followed, will keep us in the will of God. Scripture tells us in 2 Peter 3:9 NASB95 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
He is "not wishing for any to perish," which means it is His will for all to be saved to eternal life. This is why it is written, "I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE.” The Holy Spirit will give us the nudge if we are open to feeling it. The Holy Spirit will whisper in our ear if we are quiet enough to hear it. The Holy Spirit will convict our souls if we are willing to contemplate His presence. When these things happen, we can be in the will of God if we will just speak of our faith in Jesus. At the writing of this devo, I have already heard and felt and contemplated Him as He nudged, whispered, and convicted me to speak of my faith in Jesus. It is only 9:00 am and I have already failed to speak once today. I know I believe, but I failed to speak. I am praying as I write this, "Lord, I pray, help me in my belief to also speak."
I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE."
May I be able to say this tonight!
What about you?
Love Bro. Scott
