Psalm 2:1-2 NASB95 Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,

Peter and John experienced this and so have many others. It is amazing how so many religions that disagree on major issues today can come together to fight against Christianity. The reason for this is that all the other religions have the same leader. He who desires to be God but never will be. He is known by the name Satan. Described as the light bringer a reflection of God's Glory, he began to think it was his own. He will use any religion that doesn't worship God to cause others to turn from Him. Yet they can not deny His attributes, which, though invisible, are seen in creation. They can not deny the power of His miracle work that is done in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:21-22 NASB95 When they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened; for the man was more than forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.

Peter and John, who had experienced this power through them in Jesus, were threatened by the leaders of the world and its religions to not mention the name of Jesus.

They couldn't do it.

Acts 4:19-20 NASB95 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge; for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

Acts 4:23-26 NASB95 When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and said, “O Lord, it is You who MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH AND THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM, who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said, ‘WHY DID THE GENTILES RAGE, AND THE PEOPLES DEVISE FUTILE THINGS? ‘THE KINGS OF THE EARTH TOOK THEIR STAND, AND THE RULERS WERE GATHERED TOGETHER AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS CHRIST.’

When God has done a work in you it is almost impossible to keep quiet.

So go and tell! Peter and John said they couldn't stop speaking. The world is in an uproar. The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed.

Everyone is against Christ except true Christians who can't stop talking about Him!
