A family was on the way to the Grand Canyon for vacation. As they were traveling, their car overheated, and they had to stop and get it towed to a nearby town to be fixed. The kids were disappointed at the delay. As they continued on, they came upon an accident on the Interstate, which was closed for several hours. They sat in the car for a while, then they got out and walked around. The kids were disappointed about the delay. As the interstate opened, they traveled on until they had a flat tire. As they were on the side of the road changing the tire, the kids were disappointed at the delay. Finally, they arrived, and the children were amazed at the wonderful glory of God's creation. The Father and Mother looked at the kids, who were so excited, and asked if it was worth all the delays to see this. The kids, with their eyes full of amazement at the sight, looked at the parents puzzled and said, "What delays."
It is easy to focus on where we are at in the present with all the hardships. When the focus of the children of God should always be on the destination. There our eyes will behold the glory of God!
Isaiah 21:9-10 NASB1995 Now behold, here comes a troop of riders, horsemen in pairs.” And one said, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; And all the images of her gods are shattered on the ground.” O my threshed people, and my afflicted of the threshing floor! What I have heard from the Lord of hosts, The God of Israel, I make known to you.
Right now we are threshed. Being walked on and winnowed as we live on the threshing floor of earth. However, God's watchman looks off to the future and tells us he sees the end is ahead. Babylon (Satan) has fallen fallen. All their gods (false idols and worldly evil way) are fallen and shattered. The journey has ended the delays are done. Finally, we, the children of God, will arrive at the destination of the Holy, Glorious, presence of God. We will look back from eternity and say, "What delays." It will have been just a speck on our timeline of eternity. As we are gazing at God's Glory.
However, this is only for the ones who are traveling this journey with the Savior as their guide. The rest are being led astray by Satan and are lost. They don't know the way. It is up to us who have and are guided by the Savior, to introduce them to Him. This way they can come to the destination of the Father. We can not do this if our focus is on the hardships (delays) of the journey rather than the destination.
This is what I am doing now. What I have heard from the Lord of hosts, The God of Israel, I make known to you. Follow Jesus for He is the only way. John 14:6 NASB1995 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
People, don't focus on the delays of this world focus on Jesus and the destination with the Father. Our eyes will be filled with amazement at His Glory.
