Where do you go when you need answers to life's dilemmas? King Nebuchadnezzar went to his wise men. This is where many people go today after google. We must realize that google, is populated with answers from men. There is nothing wrong with seeking wise counsel. However, it is only as good, as they are wise. When seeking wisdom it is best to go to the creator of wisdom. The one who is omniscient. He is the one who has all the answers. Let's look at the difference in the way Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel sought the answer. Daniel 2:2 NASB1995 Then the king gave orders to call in the magicians, the conjurers, the sorcerers and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.

The King brought in every type of wise men he knew of. Notice where their wisdom came from. All 4 of the groups he called used false gods and satanic practices to seek the answer. They used horoscope/ astrology, witchcraft, enchantment, and worldly knowledge, but could get no answer.

Daniel on the other hand sought three other wise men. Not because of their wisdom but because of their willingness to seek the answer from God. As I said He is the omniscient one. Daniel 2:17-18 NASB1995 Then Daniel went to his house and informed his friends, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, about the matter, so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

Daniel went to friends for the purpose of added prayer (conversation with God). He didn't seek their wisdom but rather their faith that God would give the answer. Daniel did the same, as he sought God as well. Then the answer was given and Daniel praised the Lord.

Daniel 2:20 NASB1995 Daniel said, “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him.

Daniel gave recognition to the only one who had the wisdom to give the answer to this life saving dilemma. However, he not only praised the Lord in private, he also gave Him credit in public. Daniel 2:27-28 NASB1995 Daniel answered before the king and said, “As for the mystery about which the king has inquired, neither wise men, conjurers, magicians nor diviners are able to declare it to the king. However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed.

So I ask again where do you go for wisdom with your life dilemmas? We have seen the answer from God. Praise the Lord the one who created and owns ALL wisdom. All other answers lead to death. God gave the answer of Jesus. He is THE answer that leads to life.
